Jolly Literacy 1 - Writing Skills Workbook
In 2025, the Jolly Grammar program was revised and re-named, `Jolly Literacy'. While much of the spelling, grammar and punctuation content remains the same, there are several new resources for teachers and students surrounding `Reading Comprehension' and `Writing Skills':
- Reading Comprehension and Writing Skills Teacher's Book
- Reading Comprehension Student Book and
- "Writing Skills" Workbook.
While Jolly Literacy will have six levels of learning, (as with Jolly Grammar), currently, only level 1 is available.
Please Note: Jolly Grammar materials remain compatible with the new program.
About: Writing Skills Level 1 Workbook is the perfect way for children to take ownership of their writing as they work through the new Reading Comprehension and Writing Skills program
Working alongside the grammar and spelling covered in Jolly Phonics and Jolly Literacy; Spelling, Grammar & Punctuation, and using the Reading Comprehension units as a springboard, the Writing Skills component of the program contains 36 units designed to enable children to develop their own ideas and feel inspired to write about the topic taught in that week.
The black and white Writing Skills Level 1 Workbook:
- Helps to shape and support children’s writing.
- Provides options for illustrating their own text.
- Allows children to be imaginative in creating their own range of texts – from stories to poems, invitations, postcards, recipes and newspaper reports.
- Comes with step-by-step lesson plans and structured support, contained in the Comprehension and Creative Writing Teacher’s Book.
